Live Coding Sessions and Doka Culture present an Algorave during Amsterdam Dance Event 2026.
As the city welcomes the global electronic music community, we’re excited to celebrate the live coding scene alongside it.
An Algorave (a combination of algorithm and rave) is a club night where music and visuals are created by writing code in real time. Rather than performing pre-recorded tracks, artists improvise throughout the night while their code is projected for the audience to follow, making the creative process part of the performance.
We’re thrilled to welcome a fantastic line-up of artists, with first-time Live Coding Sessions guests hellocatfood, MYNA, Sol Sarratea, deaxmachina and Den Ree, alongside returning favourites Jobi, joisujoisu and Lil Bleep.

Line up
hellocatfood (Antonio Roberts) (UK) is a Birmingham-based musician and visual artist. Working primarily with TidalCycles, VCV Rack and Pure Data, he employs algorithmic methods to make music that is both rhythmic and glitchy.
Since 2019 he has been building a reputation for his live performances, fusing genres ranging from ambient, footwork and IDM to drum and bass. He complements this with live visuals made using live coding software and hardware video synthesisers. He has performed across the UK and Europe at respected venues and festivals including Green Man, Barbican, No Bounds Festival, Tate Modern, Supernormal, Corsica Studios, Cafe Oto, and IKLECTIK.
He is currently working on his debut EP to be released in 2026. At recent performances he has supported Avalanche Kaito, Matthew Herbert and Momoko Gill, Monoxide Brothers, and Matters.

deaxmachina (Dea Bankova) (UK) is a creative coder and visual artist. She makes audio-reactive visuals and VJs, primarily in TouchDesigner, as a way to connect with music and capture her experience of it, favouring aesthetically pleasing work in a contrasting blend of gentle and harsh movement. She started performing at London algoraves this year as a way of rediscovering her creative voice in an unapologetically human and hand-crafted way.
For this algorave, she wants to challenge herself to live-create some of her visuals in TouchDesigner - a software normally used to pre-prepare VJ patches; embracing showing more of her in-the-moment work in progress, in the spirit of algorave.
Den Ree (Dzianis Rusakovich) (BY/NL), originally from Belarus, is a Rotterdam-based musician working with experimental high bpm electronic genres.
He performs in a unique way by combining DJ mixing techniques with livecoding. Passionate about music and technology, he is the founder of the music recording app tapelet and part of the creative technology studio NDA/.
Den Ree has performed live sets at V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media, Vondelbunker Amsterdam and Export Rotterdam.
Jobi (Jo Kroese) (UK/NL) Live coder, mathematician, and technologist. As co-founder of Radical Data, Jo explores the intersection of data, code, and society. On stage, that turns into pure energy: with custom software, Jobi mixes samples from games, machines, and pop hits into a joyful, noisy chaos of experimental pop.
joisujoisu (Joyce den Hertog) (NL) is a creative technologist, light designer, researcher, and artist. She enjoys collaborating with performers and artists to bring new technologies into installations and live shows. Holding an MSc in Creative Intelligence and Technology, she works with motion capture, lights, visuals, sensors, hardware, robotics, XR and AI to explore themes of fragility and what it means to be human in an AI-driven world.
MYNA (UK), founder of Calabash! and core team member of The Beatriarchy, is a multi-genre DJ hailing from northern Nigerian heritage, based in the north of the UK. MYNA brings an expansive range of music from the African diaspora and beyond, focussing on drum heavy, bass heavy music, with a flair for mixing this with afro-centric selections. Recent years have seen her play at venues such as Hope Works, White Hotel, Soup, and Corsica to name a few. After guesting on Rinse FM, Foundation FM and more, she is currently a resident on Oroko Radio.
After a course with Algo | Afro, MYNA has since performed live-coded music using Strudel, crafting brooding landscapes, inspired through her childhood of watching Nigerian village dramas, her love for heaver music and sounds, and her love of heavy percussion
Sol Sarratea (AR/DE/ES) is a programmer and computational artist from Argentina based in Berlin, who uses code as her main creative medium. She is constantly generating systems to express and looking for the expression in them. For the last couple of years, she has been live coding shaders and teaching workshops.
Lil Bleep (Wilbert Vogel) (NL) is a digital artist who is active in the live-coding community for about 4 years. They make visuals and music through code, their favorite languages are Hydra, Mercury and Orca. They have played in a variety of places from Amsterdam, Paris, Lyon and Barcelona, on the legendary ICLC. They like to tell stories through the art of sampling and create a visual spectacle. Their work is chaotic, poetic, weird and fun.
